Quantum Physics
The recent advances in control of quantum systems have made possible the experimental realization of microscopic quantum machines, such as quantum heat engines and refrigerators. Studies on various branches of quantum physics is essential for the development of such quantum technologies. The group works on quantum thermodynamics, control of closed and open quantum systems and quantum metrology, and develops models for quantum devices, such as quantum engines, quantum refrigerators and quantum probes.
